Foreign Ministry spokesperson Efstratios Efthymiou stated the following in response to a journalist’s question regarding a supposed Chinese demarche made to the Foreign Ministry concerning the matter of the sale of the majority share package of Piraeus Port Authority (PPA) to COSCO:
“The information that has seen the light of publicity, regarding a supposed demarche made to the Foreign Ministry by the Chinese Ambassador and concerning the matter of the sale of the majority share package of PPA to COSCO, is completely untrue. No demarche has been made by the Chinese side.”
