In an interview today on Alpha Radio, with journalist Katia Makri, Alternate Minister of Foreign Affairs Miltiadis Varvitsiotis highlighted that Greece is on the ramparts politically and operationally.
Mr. Varvitsiotis said that, based on the data at Greece’s disposal, we are seeing “a destabilising asymmetrical threat” from Turkey on the border and “a war of impressions and endurance.”
He stressed that he has complete faith in Greece’s security forces and armed forces, who are on high alert and monitoring the situation closely, and that Greece will continue to repel the challenge to its sovereignty seriously and firmly, and in a coordinated manner.
Earlier, the Alternate Minister stated on the Hellenic Broadcasting Corporation’s “Proto Programma” that the European Union’s overall stance and the decisions of its bodies show united and unanimous support for Greece.
