Today, Thursday, September 21, Minister of Foreign Affairs, George Gerapetritis will attend Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis’ address to the United Nations General Assembly.
Mr. Gerapetritis will participate in the South-East European Cooperation Process (SEECP).
He will also attend the Ministerial Meeting for the Summit of the Future and will participate in the signing event of the UNCLOS Implementing Agreement on the protection of marine biodiversity in areas beyond national jurisdiction.
The Minister will meet with the Secretary-General of the Council of Europe.
Lastly, in the context of promoting Greece's candidacy for a non-permanent seat in the UN Security Council for the 2025-2026 term, and with a view to enhancing Greece's bilateral relations, the Minister of Foreign Affairs will hold meetings with his counterparts from Indonesia, Palestine, Kazakhstan and Iraq.
