Minister of Foreign Affairs Giorgos Katrougalos meets with a delegation from the “Initiative for Solidarity with Cyprus” (27 June 2019)delegation from the “Initiative for Solidarity with Cyprus.” The discussion focused on Turkey’s illegal and provocative actions in the Cypriot EEZ and Turkey’s disputing of Cyprus’s right to exploit its offshore resources. The Famagusta issue and the continuing occupation of the island were also discussed.
Participating in the delegation were, among others, Panos Trigazis, President of the International Organizations and Globalization Observatory (PADOP), Georgios Michailidis, coordinator of the United Cyprus Platform of the Overseas Cypriot Organizations and Secretary of the Year of Cyprus Initiative, and Chrysostomos Agathokleous, President of the Association of Cypriot Refugees.
