Today, on the 38th anniversary of the declaration of the pseudo-state [in the occupied area of Cyprus], the Council will discuss the options paper to be presented by the HR/VP Josep Borrell so as to, I hope, indicate the red lines on the issue of Varosha to Turkey. Turkey's continued unlawful conduct and attempt to disregard UN Security Council resolutions will hopefully receive a European response today.
