The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Nikos Dendias, will travel to Brussels on Monday, 13 July, to participate in a meeting of the EU Foreign Affairs Council (FAC).
The main topic of discussion will be the comprehensive approach to EU-Turkey relations, with emphasis on the situation in the Eastern Mediterranean and the Aegean, EU-Turkey bilateral cooperation – including the migration/refugee issue – and matters related to Libya and Syria.
The Ministers of Foreign Affairs are also expected to discuss current international issues, such as, among other, the developments in Libya, the Middle East peace process and recent developments in Hong Kong and Venezuela.
On the margins of the FAC meeting, the Minister of Foreign Affairs will meet with HR/VP Josep Borrell and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cyprus, Nikos Christodoulides.
