At 11:45 on Monday, 27 July, Minister of Foreign Affairs Nikos Dendias will meet with the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Affairs of Bulgaria, Ekaterina Zakarieva.
The visit coincides with the 140th anniversary of the establishment of Greek-Bulgarian diplomatic relations, underscoring the strong ties of friendship and cooperation between the two countries.
The talks will focus on bilateral political and economic relations, as well as on European and regional issues, with emphasis on the European perspective of the Western Balkans and developments in the Eastern Mediterranean.
The response to the repercussions of the pandemic, in the midst of the tourist season, will also be discussed.
Following their talks, at about 13:15, the Ministers will make statements to the press.
