Minister of Foreign Affairs, Nikos Dendias, is in Brussels today, Monday, May 22, 2023, where he will participate in the Foreign Affairs Council (FAC) of the European Union (EU).
The EU Foreign Ministers will discuss the Russian invasion of Ukraine as well as the situation in the Horn of Africa.
Furthermore, there will be an exchange of views on the Western Balkans, during which the Minister will brief his counterparts on the case of the Mayor of Himare, Fredi Beleri.
Afterwards, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, along with the other EU Foreign Ministers, will attend an informal working lunch with their Western Balkans’ counterparts. On the margins of the Foreign Affairs Council, the Minister is also expected to meet with the Foreign Minister of Albania.
Lastly, under "Current Affairs", the FAC will touch on, inter alia, developments in Tunisia and Central Asia, as well as issues related to the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE).
