Minister of Foreign Affairs Nikos Dendias will travel to The Hague tomorrow, May 19, to attend a working lunch to be hosted by his Dutch counterpart, Wopke Hoekstra.
Talks between the two Foreign Ministers are expected to focus on strengthening bilateral relations in all areas, on cooperation within International Organizations, the EU and NATO, on the situation in Ukraine following the Russian invasion, on developments in the Eastern Mediterranean, the Middle East, and the Western Balkans.
As part of the regular contacts between the two Foreign Ministers, Mr. Dendias’ visit to The Hague was preceded by his Dutch counterpart’s recent visit to Athens (04.03.2022).
Minister of Foreign Affairs will also meet with the Director-General of the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW), Ambassador Fernando Arias.
In addition, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Nikos Dendias, will meet with the President of the International Criminal Court (ICC) Judge Piotr Hofmanski.
A meeting of the Minister of Foreign Affairs with the Deputy Prosecutors of the International Criminal Court, Mr. Mandiaye Niang and Ms Nazhat Shameem Khan will follow.
Minister of Foreign Affairs, Nikos Dendias’ visit to The Hague will conclude with a meeting with the President of the International Court of Justice (ICJ), Judge Joan Donoghue, as well as with the Registrar of the International Court of Justice (ICJ), Philippe Gautier.
