Minister of Foreign Affairs Nikos Dendias to visit North Macedonia (Skopje, 25.05.2022)

Minister of Foreign Affairs, Nikos Dendias, will visit North Macedonia on Wednesday, May 25, 2022.

The Minister will have a one-on-one meeting with Foreign Affairs Minister, Bujar Osmani.

Following the expanded talks between the two delegations, the two Foreign Ministers will make joint statements to the press at approximately 19:30.

Afterwards, the Minister of Foreign Affairs will be received by the Prime Minister of North Macedonia, Dimitar Kovačevski.

Lastly, Mr. Dendias will attend a working dinner together with his counterpart, Bujar Osmani, and the Deputy Prime Minister for European Affairs, Bojan Marichic.

During the Minister's visit, talks are expected to focus on the full, consistent and in good faith implementation of the Prespa Agreement, on further strengthening of bilateral relations in all areas, including economy, trade and energy, as well as on North Macedonia’s EU perspective.

In addition, discussions are expected to cover developments in the Western Balkans and Eastern Mediterranean, as well as in the situation in Ukraine following the Russian invasion.

Minister of Foreign Affairs, Nikos Dendias visited Skopje in November 2019 and August 2021, while his counterpart, Bujar Osmani, visited Athens in January 2021.
