Minister of Foreign Affairs Nikos Kotzias to attend the Informal ‘Gymnich’ Meeting of EU Ministers of Foreign Affairs (Vienna, 30-31 August 2018)

Minister of Foreign Affairs Nikos Kotzias will be attending the Informal (Gymnich) Meeting of EU Foreign Affairs Ministers, which will be held in Vienna on Thursday and Friday, 30 and 31 August.

Discussion will focus on recent developments in the Middle East (Syria, Iran, Peace Process), Transatlantic relations and the Western Balkans. Also to be discussed is the strengthening of effective multilateralism, with the EU candidate countries in attendance.

Following the meeting, Mr. Kotzias will attend the informal working luncheon of the Austrian Presidency, at which ‘Critical Infrastructure and Digitalisation’ will be discussed.

Mr. Kotzias will then be travelling to Croatia, where, on Saturday, 1 September, he will participate in the Dubrovnik Forum on ‘Strengthening Resilience - the Mediterranean, Europe and the Western Balkans’.
