Minister of Foreign Affairs Nikos Dendias participated today, via videoconference, in the 37th Francophonie Ministerial Conference.
In his speech, the Minister of Foreign Affairs stressed the need for all countries to work together to respond to major global challenges, including the pandemic and other international challenges.
He noted that collaboration between countries in the context of Francophonie, as well as between Francophonie and other international organizations, has proved very important, adding that the solidarity between the countries participating in the Organization can be further expanded, citing the example of mutual support for candidacies in international organizations.
The Minister underscored that multilateralism in international relations, of which Francophonie is a part, is currently more vital than ever for defending global values against authoritarianism and all those who openly question and undermine these values.
