The 13th round of Political Consultations between Greece and India was held on June 14, at the level of the Secretaries General of the Ministries of Foreign Affairs (Mr. Theocharis Lalakos and Mr. Sanjay Verma respectively). In the context of the two countries’ steady strengthening of bilateral relations and following reciprocal visits at the level of Foreign Ministers, the consultations focused on a number of areas of bilateral cooperation. The two sides addressed further strengthening of bilateral cooperation in areas of mutual interest (in particular, investment, defence cooperation, culture, mobility) and identified specific areas of cooperation of strategic interest, such as maritime transport security. Regional and global developments were discussed as well.
The two sides agreed that the next round of Political Consultations between the Secretaries General of Foreign Affairs of Greece and India will be held in New Delhi in 2024.
