The Secretary General of NATO is fully committed by the Alliance’s common positions, which, as well known, are adopted unanimously.
The content of his recent interview in an Italian newspaper, as published, obviously does not express the Alliance’s positions.
Greece has already made the necessary representations via its Permanent Delegation to NATO and has received assurances that these particular statements by the Secretary General were not rendered accurately.
