The spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Alexandros Papaioannou, made the following statement in response to a journalist’s question:
“During Minister of Foreign Affairs Nikos Dendias’ meeting with his Russian counterpart, Mr. Lavrov, in Athens on 26 October 2020, one topic of discussion was the pandemic. In this context, the Russian Minister referred to the progress in the creation of a Russian vaccine against Covid-19. But he never mentioned co-production of the vaccine by our country.”
