Study Visit of the 30th Promotion of candidate Embassy Attachés to Cyprus (06-10.07.2026)

The 30th Promotion of candidate Embassy Attachés of the Hellenic Diplomatic Academy (HDA), accompanied by the HDA Director, Ambassador Michael Diamessis, and the Director of Studies, Minister Plenipotentiary Michail Angelopoulos, paid a study visit to the Republic of Cyprus from 6 to 10 July 2026.
During the visit, the candidate Embassy Attachés were received by the President of the Republic of Cyprus, Mr. Nikos Christodoulides, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Ms. Annita Demetriou, and the Archbishop of New Justiniana and All Cyprus, Georgios.

The programme included meetings with representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cyprus, the General Staff of the National Guard, the Committee on Missing Persons in Cyprus, the United Nations Peacekeeping Force in Cyprus (UNFICYP), the UN Secretary-General’s Good Offices Mission, the Joint Rescue Coordination Centre (JRCC), and the Embassy of Greece in Nicosia.

The candidate Embassy Attachés also visited the Hellenic Force in Cyprus (ELDYK), the Tomb of Makedonitissa, the Imprisoned Graves, the Municipality of Famagusta (Ammochostos), the old city and the Green Line in Nicosia, the Pancyprian Gymnasium, the Byzantine Museum, the Monastery of Kykkos, and the Church of Saint Lazarus.
