Two Memoranda of Cooperation between the Hellenic Diplomatic Academy (HDA) and Democritus University of Thrace—one with the School of Law and the other with the Department of Political Science—were signed on Thursday, June 11, 2026, in Xanthi, by the HDA Director, Ambassador Michael Diamessis, and the Rector of the University, Professor Fotios Maris.
These Memoranda lay the groundwork for the further consolidation and development of cooperation between the HDA and the Democritus University of Thrace, with the aim of strengthening the ties between diplomatic education and academic community, promoting research and exchange of knowledge, as well as developing joint initiatives in areas of mutual interest.
The framework of this cooperation includes, among other things, leveraging academic and diplomatic expertise, supporting joint research activities, and co-organizing conferences, workshops, seminars, and other scientific events.
The Memoranda were signed during the study visit of the candidate Embassy Attachés to Thrace.
