A conference on the presentation of the project "Consular Services Process Transformation" will be held on Wednesday, November 15, 2023, starting at 10:30 am, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (1 Acadimias St, "G. Kranidiotis" Amphitheatre), upon invitation from the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Giorgos Kotsiras.
Minister of Foreign Affairs George Gerapetritis will address the opening of the event, which will be followed by a presentation of the new digital services to be provided by the Greek Consular Authorities, aiming at faster communication with citizens abroad and better services to them.
Specifically, the Digital Requests Management Service will be demonstrated, through which a series of requests to the Consular Authorities will be processed partially or entirely online, i.e. remotely.
The novel digital service is already being tested in practice by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs personnel and will be available in the near future in all 125 Greek Consular Authorities in 85 countries.
Moreover, the "Virtual Assistant" service, which has already been incorporated into the websites of all Greek Consular Authorities, using artificial intelligence to provide written responses to citizens' questions in Greek, English, and 17 other languages, will be presented at the event.
The project "Consular Services Process Transformation" is funded by the Operational Programme "Public Sector Reform" under the NSRF, the European Social Fund and National Funds.
