Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs for Economic Diplomacy and Openness, Kostas Fragogiannis, is traveling today, Thursday, October 19, to Valencia, Spain, where he will participate in the EU Informal Ministerial Meeting on Trade on 20 October 2023.
The meeting agenda includes a) the EU's Economic Security Strategy, which aims to strengthen the Union's resilience, reduce economic interdependencies. and enhance the Union's strategic autonomy; and b) the EU's bilateral trade relations with India and ways to strengthen them.
During the working lunch, Ministers will have the opportunity to exchange views on the progress of bilateral trade negotiations and pending agreements, with an emphasis on the Latin American region: Chile, Mexico, and Mercosur countries.
