Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs responsible for European Affairs, Tasos Chatzivasileiou, visited Cyprus on Wednesday, July 1, for a series of meetings and contacts focused on preparations for the assumption of the Presidency of the Council of the European Union during the second half of 2027.
In particular, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs met and exchanged views on issues of mutual interest with the President of the House of Representatives of the Republic of Cyprus, Annita Demetriou, as well as with his counterpart, Deputy Minister for European Affairs, Marilena Raouna.
In addition, the program included a meeting between the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and representatives and officials of the Democratic Rally (DISY), as well as a visit to the “Tomb of Makedonitissa” and the “Imprisoned Graves”, where he laid a wreath and signed the visitors’ book.
